Nestled along the scenic banks of the Piave River in Nervesa della Battaglia, La me diga Bacaro di terraferma Ristorante e Cicchetteria emerges as a charming haven for food lovers seeking an authentic taste of Italy. This delightful restaurant is not only a feast for the palate but also a treat for the senses, boasting an inviting atmosphere where every meal becomes a cherished memory.

Standing out in the vibrant culinary landscape of this region, La me diga specializes in traditional Venetian cuisine, featuring a selection of mouthwatering cicchetti and fresh seafood that celebrates the rich culinary heritage of Italy. The restaurant’s menu is a compelling journey through the flavors of the Veneto region, with standout dishes that will tantalize your taste buds.

Start your meal with the Bigoli in salsa di acciughe, a luscious pasta dish steeped in savory anchovy sauce, or delight in the Tagliolini con seppie in nero alla veneziana, where tender pasta intertwines with squid ink for an exquisite visual and flavorful experience. The Bigoli al ragù d'anatra offers another layer of indulgence, marrying the rich flavors of duck ragu with traditional pasta.

For the main course, the options are equally alluring. Delight your senses with the Piovra scottata al rosmarino su crema di zucca, where perfectly seared octopus arrives on a velvety pumpkin cream, creating a harmonious balance of textures and tastes. Seafood lovers will be captivated by the Gamberoni in crosta dorata su vellutata di patate, featuring golden, crispy prawns nestled upon creamy potato velouté, a true testament to the culinary artistry displayed in every dish. A local favorite, the Baccalà alla vicentina, captivates with its tender cod fillet braised in a savory sauce, bringing a nostalgic taste of Venetian tradition to your table.

And don’t let dessert be an afterthought; the sweet offerings are just as enticing. End your meal on a high note with the house-specialty Tiramisù, rich and creamy, it’s the perfect Italian finale. Or perhaps you’d prefer the delightful Cheesecake ai frutti di bosco, bursting with the flavors of fresh berries that bring a refreshing touch to the end of your dining experience.

The setting of La me diga enhances the dining experience, with its delightful riverside seating that invites the natural beauty of the outdoors right to your table. Reviews from patrons echo the sentiment of a truly unforgettable experience: “This place right on the Piave river is very special,” says one satisfied customer. The attentive service adds to the warmth; staff members are dedicated to making you feel like family, evident in instances where they go above and beyond, such as offering to drive patrons home when transport falls short.

This place right on the Piave river is very special...good menu including Venetian-style cicchetti, seafood, serious salads and best of all, a really good vibe from everyone who works there... when my bus didn't turn up, they drove me home...

Great place for lunch, dinner, snack, coffee. Grabbed a light lunch before heading to the prosecco road. FOOD: ordered two small portions of pasta (cream and vongole) and steak. Portions were great. If you are a light eater then grab small portioned plates. Average eaters should order regular plates. Cream pasta was fantastic. Very creamy and great with bread. Vongole was good as well, but I liked the creamy pasta better. The steak was lightly seasoned and cooked well and came with four side dishes: beans, salsa, rice and french fries. Everything was perfect and went well with a glass of red wine. Walked out feeling satisfied and happy. PRICE: great price for great food. I especially liked the fact that you could order pasta in smaller portions and steaks come with four wonderful sides. Everything in the pictures with coffee and drinks were €37. LOCATION: perfect location on the river. Easy to find and close to parking lots. You could take a stroll along the river if you like or sit outside with a view.
